Saturday walk-a-thon benefits youth center
The first ‘‘Walking for a Brighter Future” walk-a-thon benefitting the Dumfries Youth Center will step off at 9 a.m. Saturday at CareNet Pregnancy Resource Center, 3122 Golansky Blvd., #101, Woodbridge. Registrations begins at 8:15 a.m. The walk-a-thon is approximately two miles and should be completed by 11 a.m.
The Dumfries Youth Center is a non-profitorganization dedicated to youth in eastern Price William County and promotes healthy and active lifestyles, life skills training and becoming productive active members of society.
Community Band schedules holiday concerts
Prince William Community Band’s free holiday concerts will be Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. at Freedom High School, 15201 Neabsco Mills Road, and Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Angels Church, 13752 Mary’s Way.
