USMC v. Lance Corporal
On Sept. 30, a special court-martial found a lance corporal guilty of one specification of unauthorizedabsence, in violation of Article 86, UCMJ. The accused was sentenced to confinement for four months, reduction to pay grade E-1, forfeitures of $850 pay per month for four months, and a bad-conduct discharge.
USMC v. Private First Class
On Sept. 30, a special court-martial found a private first class guilty of one specification of unauthorizedabsence, in violation of Article 86, UCMJ, and one specification of wrongful use of marijuana, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. The accused was sentenced to confinement for 150 days, reduction to pay grade E-1, and a bad conduct discharge.
USMC v. Staff Sergeant
On Oct. 1, a special court-martial found a staff sergeant guilty of one specification of wrongful use of marijuana, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. Theaccused was sentenced to confinement for 30 days,restriction for 15 days, and reduction to pay grade E-3.
USMC v. Lance Corporal
On Oct. 14, a general court-martial found a lancecorporal guilty of one specification of assault consummated by a battery upon a child under 16, in violation ofArticle 128, UCMJ, and three specifications of adultery, in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. The accused was sentenced to confinement for 6 years, reduction to pay grade E-1, forfeitures of $900 pay per month for 72 months, and a dishonorable discharge.
USMC v. Sergeant
On Oct. 15, a special court-martial found a sergeant guilty of one specification of attempted larceny, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ, and one specification ofwrongful appropriation, in violation of Article 121, UCMJ. The accused was sentenced to hard labor without confinement for 15 days, and reduction to pay grade E-4.
USMC v. Sergeant
On Oct. 21, a general court-martial found a sergeant guilty of one specification of attempting to procure a fraudulent separation from active duty, in violation ofArticle 80, UCMJ, one specification of malingering, in violation of Article 115, UCMJ, one specification of wrongful appropriation, in violation of Article 121, UCMJ, and four specifications in violation of Article 134, UCMJ, formaking false speeches, obtaining services under false pretenses, and wearing authorized ribbons and medals. The accused was sentenced to five years of confinement, total forfeitures of pay and allowances, reduction to pay grade E-1, a fine of $25,000, and a dishonorable discharge.
USMC v. Sergeant
On Oct. 26, a special court-martial found a sergeant guilty of one specification of wrongful use of marijuana, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. The accused was sentenced to 30 days of confinement.
USMC v. Seaman
On Oct. 28, a special court-martial found a seaman, U.S. Navy, guilty of one specification of violating a lawful general regulation, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ, and three specifications in violation of Article 134, UCMJ, for indecent language. The accused was sentenced to 45 days of confinement and reduction to E-1.
