‘‘Women on Weights” Fitness
MWR Fitness offers weight training for women on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 p.m. in the Fitness Center of the MWR Recreational Services Bldg. #89. The program is completely free and there is no signup required. Call 410-293-9204 the day before for updated class schedule information.

MWR ITT can order discount tickets to the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show at the Washington Convention Center Nov. 7-8. If you’re a Food Network Fan, you’ll enjoy the demonstrations from the Food Network Stars. Cost per ticket is $43.00 each for Section 306 and $55.00 each for section 202. Retired Activities Office
The Retired Activities Office assists all retired military and their family members in such areas as survivor benefits plan, retired rights and benefits, widow’s outreach and assistance. The office is open Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and is staffed by retired military volunteers.
Hearts Apart Deployment Discussion Group
Is your loved one deployed? Join our deployment support and discussion group at the Fleet & Family Support Center. Child care, when requested, will be provided. Registration is required. Classes will be held Nov. 3 and 17, from 6:15-7:30 p.m.
Reduce Holiday Stress Workshop
This workshop is designed to help participants understand the sources of holiday stress and to become aware of how holiday stress can affect them. The participants will learn to identify their own personal signs and symptoms of holiday stress and to learn effective ways to reduce stress this holiday. The workshop will be held on Nov. 10 from 8:30-10 a.m.
How to Survive the Holidays Financially
The holiday season is upon us and it’s time once again to prepare for a season of celebration. But before you open your wallet to spread that holiday cheer, remember that lack of financial planning during the holiday season can turn even the most cheerful elf into a Grinch. Setting a holiday spending budget is the key to a financially healthy season. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to reduce financial stress, help participants plan for holiday spending and make the most effective use of their money. This workshop can be offered at command request. It will be held on Nov. 10 from 6-7:30 p.m.
