Selectees Named for Chief of Staff, Deputy Commanders

Rear Adm. Mathew Nathan, commander of the National Naval Medical Center, and Army Maj. Gen. Carla Hawley-Bowland, commanding general of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, are pleased to announce the selectees for the chief of staff and deputy commanders as the facilities transition to the future Walter Reed Military Medical Center Bethesda.

The selectees are as follows:

Army Col. Chuck Callahan has been selected for Chief of Staff;

Capt. (Sel) Mark Kobelja, Deputy Commander for Surgery;

Dr. Paul Florentino, Deputy Commander for Medicine;

Capt. John Ralph, Deputy Com-mander for Behavioral Health;

Col. John Spain, Deputy Com-mander for Clinical Support;

Col. Ellen Forster, Deputy Com-mander for Nursing;

Capt. Lena Hartzell, Deputy Co-mander for Dentistry;

Ms. Chisun Chun, Deputy Com-mander for Healthcare Business and Strategic Planning;

Col. Cathy Nace, Deputy Com-mander for Education;

Capt. Anne Swap, Deputy Com-mander for Administration; and

Mr. Chris Gillette, Deputy Com-mander for Readiness and Oper-ations.

Maj. Gen. Hawley-Bowland and Col. Susan Annicelli, commander of DeWitt Army Community Hospital (DACH) at Fort Belvoir, have announced the selection of Capt. Robert Buckley as the new chief of staff for DACH.

DACH and the future Fort Belvoir Community Hospital will continue with the selection of deputy commanders and migration to the new facility through the spring of 2011.
