As part of CBS College Sports Network's summer programming schedule, the network is planning to re-broadcast several of the best games from the 2008-09 school year as well as classics from seasons past. The network has planned several themed weeks of programming and will air events ranging from 1996 to this past season.
In honor of Independence Day, CBS College Sports Network will present Armed Forces week from June 29-July 5. The week will start with a pair of events on June 29 when the network will show the Navy at American men's basketball game at 2:30 p.m. and then the 1996 Army-Navy football game at 9 p.m. On June 30, two football games will be shown starting with Navy's 34-7 victory over Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 2008.
On July 1 the Navy women's lacrosse game against Colgate from March 28, 2009, will be shown at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Navy football team's 19-9 win over Army in the 1999 season at 9 p.m.
On July 2, the network will air three more Navy victories. The first one to be shown at 3:30 p.m. will be Navy's dominating 10-4 victory over Maryland in men's lacrosse action from this past spring. At 5:30 p.m., fans can watch Navy's 59-54 victory over Army in men's basketball and finally at 9 p.m., the 2000 Army-Navy football game won by Navy, 30-28, will be aired.
On July 3, the 2001 Army-Navy football game will be aired at 9 p.m.
Three football games fill the Independence Day schedule, starting with Navy's exciting 23-20 victory over Rutgers in football from 2008 at 3 p.m. That game will be followed at 6 p.m. by Navy's 2008 tilt with Pittsburgh and the Mids' 38-3 win over Army from 2007 starting at 9 p.m.
On July 5, the 2008 SMU-Navy football game will be re-aired beginning at noon followed by Navy's miraculous 33-27 come-from-behind win over Temple last fall and the 34-0 blanking over Army from 2008.
The next week the network will present Head of the Class, showing three more Navy events.
On July 7, fans can watch Navy's 23-20 football win over Rutgers from 2008. On Tuesday, the network will show the Navy-Temple contest again at 4 p.m. and on July 11, the network will show Navy's 9-8 victory over Bucknell in the 2009 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Championship at 12:30 p.m.
Last, as part of College Football Rewind week, in addition to showing the Navy wins over Temple and Rutgers again, the Notre Dame-Navy contest from 2008 will be shown on July 17 at 9:30 p.m.
