Youth Programs
The “Billy the Kid“ Youth Center at Alder Road, Naval Support Activity Annapolis provides a wide range of recreational and educational activities for children from 5 years old to 18. Programs include school-age care, leisure skills development classes, special themed events and field trips to area attractions. For more information, call 410-293-4997⁄4998.
MWR Liberty Zone
The recreation center for single and unaccompanied E1-E6 active duty personnel is located on the lower level of the Recreational Services Bldg. #89. The center features a surround-sound theater, computers, video games and much more. Special events and trips are scheduled throughout each month.
MWR Rear Entrance Access
MWR provides customers with access to Bldg. #89 through the rear entrance nearest the cardiovascular fitness area. This convenient entrance provides customers easier and quicker access to the recreation building from the rear parking lot. Access to the front entrance remains unchanged.
Fit for Life Program
Take advantage of the re-vamped and updated fitness incentive program to maintain consistency in your fitness workouts through Dec. 31, 2010. MWR Fitness will tally up the points and award water bottles, T-shirts and gym bags depending on the number of points participants earn. Participants can start any time. Fleet & Family Support Center
Retired Activities Office
This office advises all retired military and their family members in such areas as the Survivor Benefits Plan, retired rights and benefits, widow’s outreach and assistance. The office is open every Wednesday from 9 - 11 a.m.
‘‘Hearts Apart” Deployment Discussion Group
A deployment discussion group is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Fleet & Family Support Center. Free onsite child care is upon advance request. Registration is required.
Command Sponsor Training
FFSC provides training for individuals who have been chosen to serve as sponsors. Training includes how to make contact, what information needs to be provided and information on available resources and support services that will make your job and the incoming service member’s move much more satisfying. Sponsor coordinators are welcome to attend. The training will be held March 30, 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
