The Sexual Assault Victim Intervention (SAVI) and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program is designed to meet the needs of victims of sexual assault and provide awareness and prevention education with the hope of preventing and eliminating sexual assault in the Navy.
Victim advocacy and intervention is an important part of the program. Currently there are over 50 trained Sexual Assault Victim Advocates on call, 24⁄7 at NAS Pax, who support sexual assault victims by: responding immediately to their needs; accompanying them through medical, investigative and legal procedures if desired; and providing follow-up information and resources. Victims and⁄or family member can receive these services by calling the 24-hour Victim Advocate number at 301-481-1057.
As we work toward eliminating sexual assault in the Navy, we can ensure that every victim of sexual assault be treated with dignity, respect and sensitivity.
