A job fair, sponsored by JobZone, will be held on March 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the King George Citizens Center.

King George Comedy Gala
The 3rd Annual King George Relay For Life Comedy Gala will be held Friday, April 16 at the Riverboat on the Potomac in Colonial Beach. Entertainment will be provided by Thunder 104.5 radio host, Denny More. An evening with Denny includes stand-up comedy, astounding feats of E.S.P., and hilarious and amazing magic. The night will also include cocktails, dancing and cuisine from around the world. Tickets are $50 each with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. The Virginia Wounded Warrior Program is offering Combat Support and Family Support Groups. Groups are available as follows:
Combat Support Group for any student veteran who has experienced combat from every era, with any discharge status, Reserve and National Guard and military contractors deployed in a combat theatre.

Combat Support Group for any combat veterans of OIF, OEF, Vietnam, Desert Storm, as well as combat veterans with any discharge status, Reserve and National Guard and military contractors deployed in a combat theatre

CSM to Hold Tri-County Job Fair
College of Southern Maryland will hold a Tri-County Job and Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, April 8, at CSM La Plata Campus, 8730 Mitchell Road, Physical Education Center (PE), La Plata. More than 40 employers representing federal and county government, military and private sector organizations will present information on job and career opportunities in their fields. Internship Showcase will list opportunities for current students. There will be a workshop on navigating the federal job search process at noon and a Resume RX table staffed by career professionals throughout the fair to review resumes and provide feedback and recommendations. Sotterley Garden Fair
Sotterley Plantation will hold their Second Annual Garden Fair on April 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Presentations will include orchid growing to oyster ranching, environmental info, and master gardeners in the historic barn. Take a tour through the magnificent Colonial Revival Gardens. Children are welcome to craft birdhouses, birdfeeders, and paper flowers. Enjoy lunch in the garden. Pick up some lovely additions for your garden at the Sotterley Garden Guild plant sale.
