Officer Candidates School and Motor Transportation went head-to-head Monday at the Barber Physical Activity Center during a basketball playoff game.

The officer candidates dominated the game with speed and agility claiming the victory 57-40.

No-look passes and rebounds gave OCS the advantage despite having less-than-lofty players. Motor T may have had height on their side, but OCS had superior athleticism.

‘‘Motivation is our biggest thing,” said Sherman Green of OCS. ‘‘We refuse to lose.”

At the point when Motor T began turning over possessions, OCS was more than glad to come in and pick up the slack.

‘‘We play around a lot,” said Green.” But we are very confident.”

OCS led in the first half 28-19, but lingered in the beginning of the second half while Motor T began to catch up.

Just a few points in the lead OCS began tightening up their defense and hustling after rebounds. OCS pushed Motor T back into the rear springing into a 10-point lead.

Motor T lacked that same liveliness. OCS fluidly weaved between Motor T players which made it hard for them to defendthe candidates.

In the last minute of the second half, OCS swung the ball around the court to keepMotor T from getting possession, but sinceit was already game over, Motor T put upno fight.

OCS took the game with pride andcontinued on into the playoffs against TheBasic School.
