ASBP Blood Drive
Armed Services Blood Program will hold a blood drive on Thursday, March 11 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Bldg. 1470 Conf. Room. All blood collected benefits military members and their families at home, overseas, in harm’s way and recovering from injuries. Support our troops and give the greatest gift of all – give the gift of life – give blood!
Second Tour Thrift Boutique Bag Sale
Second Tour Thrift Boutique will hold a bag sale on March 11 and March 18 from 9:30 a.m. – Noon at 722 Sampson Road. Currently, we have J Crew, The Limited, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger and more on our racks. At our bag sale, you can fill a bag with clothes for just $3 a bag. NCMA Chapter Holds March Meeting
The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Dahlgren Chapter will hold its next meeting at Northrop Grumman (Woodrow Wilson Room), 16501 Commerce Dr. in King George on Wed., Mar. 31. This month’s guest speaker will be Mrs. Susan Hudson, Dept. Head, Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems (Q Dept.), NSWC Dahlgren. Check-in and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker begins at noon. Cost is $7 for NCMA Members and $12 for non-members. Both prices include lunch. The meeting will focus on an overview of the Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department at the NSWCDD and future expectations for this department. DOSC to Distribute Charitable Funds
The Dahlgren Officers’ Spouses Club is currently accepting requests from non-profit organizations who could benefit from receiving a charitable, monetary donation. Information Security Symposium
The Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program Office has scheduled its 4th Annual INFOSEC Symposium for April 20. As previously announced, the symposium will be held in Bldg. 1705 on board Naval Support Facility Dahlgren. This year's symposium theme is “Information Operations (IO) - A How to Guide to Security.“
The goal of this symposium is to brief Aegis employees, supporting contractors and other employees on changes in policy and procedures regarding properly handling classified documents and the changes in unified information security criteria.
