The Professional Development Seminar XXII, which focuses on military housing, was held the week of Jan. 31 through Feb. 5 in Atlanta and Naval Support Activity South Potomac was one of the event’s honored activities for excellence in housing at both Naval Support Facilities Indian Head and Dahlgren.
The annual seminar provides military housing professionals with unique and vital training opportunities which allowed event attendees to pursue sharpening their skills and tailor them to meet their individual needs and interests. The NSF Indian Head and Dahlgren housing offices were recognized for their family⁄Public-Private Venture (PPV) and bachelor programs during the week-long event.
During the awards portion of the seminar, Navy Housing honored its team members who earned industry-recognized customer service awards in 2009.
NSF Dahlgren’s Bachelor Housing Program was recognized as one of the 2009 ‘‘A List” and ‘‘Crystal Award” winners from the national real estate leader, CEL & Associates. Also at the seminar, NSF Indian Head and Lincoln Military Housing were presented with the ‘‘Family Housing – PPV ‘A List’ Award” for their Dashiell Mews and Riverview Village neighborhoods. Joyce Tate and Raymond Fields accepted this award on behalf of the command and the bachelor housing staff (Raymond Fields, Kenny Berry, Shanel Byrd, Michelle Inman, and Yvonne Edmonds). Vanessa Runion and Rosalind Braxton accepted the award on behalf of the command and Lincoln Military Housing.
Each year CEL & Associates, Inc. compiles customer satisfaction survey data from thousands of buildings and communities to determine which real estate organizations and properties are worthy of the firm’s ‘‘Best in the Industry” for providing excellence and to recognize properties that have achieved the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
CEL & Associates, Inc.'s national real estate “A List“ awards are made to those who are deemed to provide superior levels of service to residents. There are multiple award categories based on portfolio size, type of firm and product specialization. Awards can be earned at the company-wide level and the individual property level.
Award recipients are featured in trade journals and may use the “A List“ award logo in advertising and marketing initiatives. The coveted national real estate awards are considered to be one of the most sought after recognition programs within the real estate industry.
The award is an honor that has been bestowed on Dahlgren’s Potomac Inn for the third year in a row.
‘‘This is a great honor,” said Tate. ‘‘It represents the hard work that our staff does in providing quality housing!”
