World Health Hygiene Expectations
NNMC has increased our rate of compliance with the World Health Organization (WHO) Hand Hygiene expectations by following the ‘‘Clean Hands In, Clean Hands Out” philosophy. The hospital has been implementing observational audits to measure and improve performance, and through a campaign educating our patients that ‘‘It is okay to ask: Did you wash your hands?” Please continue to reinforce ‘‘Clean Hands In, Clean Hands Out” and submit your monthly audits to the Infection Prevention Department. For more information, contact Ray Litten at 301-295-3647.
