Cupid Shootout Basketball Contest
Come try your best shots each day to improve your score on the court and win the rights to being the best hotshot. Contest will be held Feb. 8-10 at 11:15 a.m. in the gym at Bldg. #89, NSA Annapolis.
Youth Center Celebrates February Birthdays
The Billy the Kid Youth Center will host the February birthday party Feb. 18 with a “Movies“ party theme. Time to be determined. Cost is $6 for school-age care children, $8 for all others and free if your birthday is in February. Sign up and pay in advance at the Youth Center, 126 Alder Road, NSA Annapolis.
MWR Rear Entrance Access
MWR provides customers with access to Bldg. #89 through the rear entrance nearest the cardiovascular fitness area. This convenient entrance provides customers easier and quicker access to the recreation building from the rear parking lot. Access to the front entrance remains unchanged. Cardio room entrance will be available Monday through Friday (no holidays and weekends) from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. until March 21.
Youth Baseball ⁄ T-ball Registration
Registrations for the 2010 Youth Baseball League begins Feb. 22 and last until March 26, for youths ages 4 to 10. There will be T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch and Player Pitch teams depending on the age of players. Fee is $50 per player and includes a jersey and end of season awards ceremony. Retired Activities Office
This office advises all retired military and their family members in such areas as the Survivor Benefits Plan, retired rights and benefits, widow’s outreach and assistance. The office is open every Wednesday from 9 - 11 a.m.
‘‘Hearts Apart” Deployment Discussion Group
A deployment discussion group is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Fleet & Family Support Center. Free onsite child care is upon advance request. Registration is required.
Transition Assistance Program
A four day career and job search workshop for separating and retiring service members seeking civilian employment. Register now if you are within 1 year of separation or 2 years of retirement. Applicants must see their Command Career Counselor and obtain a signed DD 2648 from their command prior to coming to TAP. Failure to do so will result in possibly being turned away from TAP. The workshop will be Feb. 9 – 12, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
