Welcome to Naval Support Facility Dahlgren.

Naval Support Activity South Potomac (NSASP) was established on Nov. 3, 2005 as a component of Naval District Washington.

Established in 1918 as a naval proving ground, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Laboratory (NSWCDL) is the headquarters for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.

The Navy Air and Missile Defense Command (NAMDC) was established as a center of excellence to provide oversight and end-to-end assessment of Maritime Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD).

The Air Force’s 20th Space Control Squadron, Detachment 1 was officially established on Oct. 1, 2004

Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) is both a field activity of the Naval Sea System Command, as well as the Navy element of the overall Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program.

CSCS was provisionally established in October 2002.

Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) was formally established as a training command in November 1984.

Public safety operations at NSF Dahlgren consist of several agencies working intraoperatively to provide a safe and secure environment.
