The 11th Wing provides a multitude of support to nearly 40,000 Air Force military and civilianmembers in 425 locations and 152 countries.

11TH MISSION SUPPORT GROUP

11th Logistics Readiness Squadron
The 11th Logistics Readiness Squadronprovides deployment, fuels, supply andtransportation support to the Air Force,Department of Defense and other organizations in the National Capital Region including thesecretariat, air staff, Headquarters Air Force, Air Force District of Washington, Bolling, Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Intelligence Agency, the White House and Congress.

Services provided include deployment and support planning, traffic management,personal-property shipping, passenger travel, cargo movement, vehicle operations andmaintenance, general supply and equipmentaccount management, mobility bagmanagement, hazardous materials tracking and unleaded and diesel fuel support.

Organizational clothing and office supplies are available for purchase via the government purchase card at the Office Eagle store, co-located on base in Building 520.

11th Services Division
Superior quality-of-life programs and ‘‘five-star” customer service are standard for the 11th Services Division. Around the clock, almost 500 men and women of the division professionally serve customers throughout the National Capital Region with a variety of activities and services to include; the Bolling Inn, Bolling Clubs,community center, child development and youth centers, outdoor recreation facilities, base fitness and aerobic centers, skills development center, auto skills center, and a base library, amongothers. At the same time, the division maintains a top state of readiness, prepared to support any contingency. 11th Services Division lives its motto ‘‘Combat Support and Community Service.”

11th Civil Engineer Squadron
The 11th Civil Engineer Squadron works proudly to operate, maintain and improve Bolling and other 11th Wing facilities forits worldwide customers while maintainingoptimal contingency and war-readinesscapabilities. Its primary customers are the more than 2,300 military and civilian personnelassigned to Bolling, as well as more than 5,000 family members. The squadron ensures people have the best facilities and live and work in a safe, clean environment. In addition, 11th CES directly supports over 6,500 Air Force personnel working in the Pentagon, which includes Air Force senior leadership.

11th Mission Support Squadron
The 11th Mission Support Squadron provides base-level military personnel, academiceducational services, family support andprofessional military educational programssupporting 40,000 customers in the National Capital Region and around the world. 11th MSS also provides critical support to the White House, Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the secretary of the Air Force, the chief of staff of the Air Force, as well as several joint agencies, and serves a retiree population of over 25,000. The squadron has branches on Bolling and in the Pentagon.

11th Contracting Squadron
The 11th Contracting Squadron providescontracting support to 11th Wing and its tenant organizations on Bolling AFB and providescontingency contracting support worldwide. The contracting squadron works as a team with its customers to ensure they have the rightproduct, on time, every time to do their mission.

11th Security Forces Squadron
The primary mission of the 11thSecurity Forces Squadron is to provideexpeditionary force protection, police andtechnical security to Bolling AFB and thePentagon, including the secretary of the Air Force and the chief of staff of the Air Force. The 11th SFS also maintains a secure environment in support of Defense Intelligence Agency,Joint Air Defense Operations Center and other critical agencies. The 11th SFS supports over 50,000 active, dependent and retiredpersonnel.

11TH WING STAFF

Director of Staff
The director of staff provides commandmanagement and a wide variety of functions to the 11th Wing and Air Force personnel assigned to the nation’s capital. Those services include safety, history, public affairs, command post, protocol, equal opportunity, military equalopportunity, anti-terrorism⁄force protection,financial management and plans.

Equal Opportunity
The equal opportunity office is located in Building 4 on the second floor. Its two primary functions are military equal opportunity and equal employment opportunity. The Air Force has a ‘‘zero” tolerance policy regardingdiscrimination.

Although this office educates members on Air Force policies regarding discrimination and human relations, it also processes equal-opportunity complaints and acts as a referral agency to make sure problems are resolved by the appropriate agency and at the lowest level.

Public Affairs Office
11th Wing Public Affairs is the central point of contact for all communications-related activities within and outside the wing to include media and community relations and security and policy review. Financial Managementand Comptroller
The Financial Management and Comptroller office employs nearly 70 personnel and isresponsible for providing world-class financial services such as military pay, civilian pay,retired pay and travel pay to Air Force personnel in the National Capital Region. In addition the unit delivers financial analysis, budget andaccounting support to the 11th Wing units and tenants located on Bolling AFB.

Inspector General
The Inspector General’s office helps sustain a credible Air Force IG system supporting 40,000 customers assigned to the Air Force District of Washington, 11th Wing, Air Staff, Secretariat, Joint Staff, Office of the SECDEF, Air ForceElements, and Field Operating Agencies in the National Capital Region and around the world. It helps commanders ensure responsive Complaint Investigations and Fraud, Waste and Abuseprograms. The IG office ensures the concerns of all complainants and the best interest of theAir Force are addressed through objectivefact-finding.

Besides investigations, the IG office’sresponsibilities include educating Air Force members, Department of Defense civilians, commanders and supervisors regarding rights of protection for those contacting an IG. Inspections and Evaluations
The 11th Wing Inspections and Evaluations office prepares wing personnel to succeed in military inspections. It also creates andexecutes training exercise scenarios on base and helps exercise and evaluation teams compare unit performance and readiness with recognized Air Force standards and measures. 11th WingInspections and Evaluations assists wingleadership in the decision-making process by providing detailed troop and unit performance information to the wing commander after each exercise or inspection.

Plans
The Wing Plans Section provides oversight and specific guidance for the impact andimplementation of all plans that pertain to the 11th Wing and tenant organizations and toensure that requirements are within thecapabilities of the wing. Specifically, XPmaintains, reviews, and tasks for updatingbase-level war, contingency, and support plans to ensure compliance with policy and guidance from Air Force District of Washington, USAF, and DOD policy, instructions, and regulations. Plans is responsible for incorporating the 11th Wing Commander’s strategic vision in all planning considerations.

Protocol
The chief of protocol provides protocol and ceremonial support for the 11th Wing. Thisincludes itineraries for distinguished visitors, hospitality assistance for office calls, seating andparking for conferences and special events, and managing the commander’s gift locker.Ceremonial support for the 11th Wing includes changes of command, retirements andpromotions, annual awards banquet, monthly promotion and quarterly awards ceremonies, 11th Wing commander’s calls and monthlyobservances. Advice and guidance provided by protocol includes script reviews, programs and seating plans, RSVPs, flags, invitations, entry authorization lists and parking.

Safety Office
The Safety office manages the Commander’s Mishap Prevention Program for Bolling AFB and the National Capital Region. Programelements will include, but not limited to: advise the commander, functional managers, andsupervisors on safety and health matters;manage on- and off-duty safety programs;provide mishap prevention data and safetyeducation material to all organizations; process hazard reports and manage the installationmaster hazard abatement program; reviewcivilian compensation claims involvingoccupational injuries and hospital treatment records to ensure mishaps were properlyinvestigated and reported in accordance withapplicable OSHA and Air Force directives;conduct safety education programs; providesupervisors assistance with job safety training; ensure all mishaps are investigated properly and reported according to AFI 91-204; establish a proactive mishap prevention program thatincorporates reasonable risk management and hazard elimination and reduction features.

Staff Judge Advocate
The staff judge advocate’s office provides high-quality legal support in the areas of civil law, contract law, labor law, claims and military justice for courts-martial and non-judicialpunishment actions.

Located in the wing headquarters building at Bolling, the staff judge advocate’s office serves the 11th Wing, field-operating agencies and Air Force elements in non-Air Force activities worldwide.

The office also provides legal assistance toindividual military members, retirees and family members on personal, non-criminal legal matters.

Wing Chaplaincy
The wing chapel provides pastoral care to the wing, base tenants, the Pentagon, and theNational Capital Region through unit visitation, counseling, worship services and religiouseducation. The chapel staff at Bolling AFB is comprised of chaplains, chaplain assistants, civilian personnel and volunteers workingtogether to provide a host of support services for families and singles. Chaplains assigned to the wing also provide invocations and benedictions, officiate at weddings, and perform funerals throughout the region.
