WingSpan migrating to MyNAVAIR

Calvert County Commissioners visited Pax recently for a briefing by NAS Executive Director Tim Smith, standing, and Rear Adm. Tim Heely, NAWCAD commander (with back to camera). Seated around the table are Commissioners Linda Kelly and Susan Shaw, county Department of Economic Development Director Linda Vassallo, County Administrator James Allman and Commissioners Gerald Clark, David Hale and Wilson Parran.
WingSpan is migrating to MyNAVAIR effective Sept. 30. What is MyNAVAIR? MyNAVAIR is NAVAIR's portal which will provide a single access point and central location to enterprise information such as corporate applications, Web services, reference materials, local intranets, and the "extranet." Additionally, MyNAVAIR will allow you to personalize your pages and use communities of interest for features like message boards, personalized documents and content, collaboration tools and advanced search engines.

Based upon guidelines mandated by the Navy for the Navy Enterprise Portal initiatives, NAVAIR created a portal to house NAVAIR content and information. Initially, the portal will look like WingSpan with expanded functionality, including the customization and access to communities of interest. Future additions to the portal will include collaboration tools, message boards, a searchable corporate directory, and more.

If you already have a WingSpan account, no further action is required. To apply for a WingSpan account, access https://wingspan.navair.navy.mil and click on the "New User Account Form" in the WingSpan Login box.
